The Qashqai has run across two main UK generations: the J10 (2006–2013, facelifted 2010) and the J11 (2014–2021, facelifted 2017). Within each generation the indicator stalk is generally consistent, but you should always confirm the exact part against your registration with the breaker before buying.
2013 sits in the J10 generation and 2014 marks the start of the J11, so these are different generations with different steering column assemblies and stalks. Crossing that 2013–2014 boundary is where fitment becomes uncertain, so route this one directly to the breaker and quote your registration to be sure.
The J11 facelift arrived in 2017 and, while it updated styling and infotainment, the core steering column components often carried over within the same generation. That said, whether the stalk itself is identical across the pre- and post-2017 J11 is something worth confirming with the breaker against your registration, as minor connector or spec changes can catch buyers out.
Trim level does not affect indicator stalk fitment on the Qashqai — the stalk is determined by generation and any steering wheel or cruise-control options fitted, not by whether the car is an Acenta, N-Connecta, or Tekna. A stalk from a lower trim could look slightly different if the donor car lacked cruise control, so check that the stalk you're buying matches the functions on your car (cruise, speed limiter buttons etc.) rather than worrying about the trim badge itself.
If your Qashqai has cruise control or a speed limiter, you'll need a stalk that includes those buttons, as a basic stalk from a car without those features won't add that functionality. When contacting a breaker, tell them your registration and mention whether your car has cruise control so they can pull the correct part from a matching donor vehicle.
Replacing the indicator stalk on a Qashqai typically involves removing the steering column shroud and disconnecting a wiring plug, which is a manageable job for a confident DIYer, but the airbag system means you must disconnect the battery and observe the correct wait time before working near the steering column. If you're unsure about working around the airbag, it's worth having a garage or auto electrician fit it for safety.
