Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use Findapart. Last updated 13 July 2026.
1. Who we are and what Findapart does
Findapart.com ("Findapart", "we", "us") is a marketplace introducing people looking for used vehicle parts ("customers") to vehicle dismantlers and parts suppliers ("breakers"). Customers submit a part request free of charge; breakers with matching stock send quotes; customer and breaker then deal with each other directly. Findapart is not a party to any sale: we do not own, hold, inspect or deliver parts, we do not process payments between customers and breakers, and any contract of sale is made directly between customer and breaker.
2. Using the service as a customer
Submitting a request is free and places you under no obligation to buy. You agree to provide accurate details about your vehicle and the part you need. Quotes come from independent breakers, and each breaker is responsible for its own quote, including price, condition, guarantee and delivery. When you reveal your contact details to a breaker, or contact one using the details shown, you are dealing with that breaker directly. Findapart does not guarantee that any request will receive quotes, that any quoted part will fit your vehicle, or the quality or condition of any part.
3. Buying safely
We recommend that customers confirm fitment details with the breaker before buying, pay by card or another method with buyer protection rather than bank transfer, and confirm guarantee and delivery terms in writing before paying. Your statutory rights when buying from a business seller are not affected by these terms.
4. Using the service as a breaker
Breakers must provide accurate business details and only quote for parts they hold or can genuinely supply. Breakers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their quotes, the description and condition of parts supplied, honouring any guarantee offered, complying with consumer law where it applies to their sales, and their own tax and legal obligations. Findapart may suspend or remove a breaker account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or customers are at risk.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Findapart to send spam or unlawful content, harvest other users details, submit false requests or quotes, or interfere with the operation of the website. We may refuse, remove or moderate any content, request or account at our reasonable discretion.
6. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that: because Findapart is an introduction service and not the seller, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of breakers or customers, for the condition, fitment, quality or delivery of any part, or for any dealings between customers and breakers. The website is provided as-is and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Our total liability to any user arising from use of the website is limited to 100 GBP.
7. Content and intellectual property
The Findapart name, logo, website content and page structure are our property or used under licence and may not be copied or scraped without permission. By uploading photos or text with a request you confirm you are entitled to share them and grant us a licence to display them to breakers and use them to operate and improve the service.
8. Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy at findapart.com/privacy-policy/ which forms part of these terms.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always shown on this page and applies from the date posted. We may withdraw or change any part of the service. You may stop using the service at any time.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
