Used BMW 6 Series Bumper

The BMW 6 Series runs across two modern generations: the E63/E64 (2003–2010) and the F06/F12/F13 (2011–2018). Within the E63/E64 there was a facelift around 2007, and the F12/F13 range received a facelift in 2015, both of which brought changes to the bumpers, grilles and lights. Always quote your exact year and registration to the breaker so they can match the correct pre- or post-facelift panel.

The 2013 and 2016 cars are both from the F-series generation (F06/F12/F13, 2011–2018), but 2013 is pre-facelift and 2016 falls after the 2015 facelift, which updated the front-end styling including the bumper. Whether the pre- and post-facelift bumpers interchange is something you should confirm with the breaker against your registration, as mounting points and light apertures may differ. Name both years clearly when you request a quote.

Within the F-series generation, the Coupé (F13) and Convertible (F12) share the same front-end platform, so front bumpers are generally sourced from the same parts pool. Body style does not affect front bumper fitment within a generation – what matters is the generation and whether your car is pre- or post-facelift. Confirm the facelift period with the breaker using your registration to be sure.

Trim level does not change the fundamental fitment of the bumper – an SE, Sport and M Sport are all built on the same platform within a generation. However, M Sport bumpers have a different styling and lower air intake design compared with SE or Sport variants, so a breaker will need to know your trim to supply a cosmetically matching panel. The part will physically fit regardless of trim, but the look will differ if you mix trim levels.

Both years sit within the E63/E64 generation (2003–2010), but 2005 is pre-facelift and 2008 falls after the facelift that arrived around 2007, which revised the front bumper, grille and headlight surrounds. Whether a pre-facelift bumper will physically fit a post-facelift car is not something we can state as fact – confirm interchange with the breaker against your registration before ordering. Sticking to a post-2007 donor car is the safer starting point.

The bumper itself is the same panel regardless of headlight type, but the headlight washer jets and any integrated LED strip or sensor apertures can vary between headlight specifications. Whether a bumper from a xenon-equipped car will line up correctly with your LED setup – or vice versa – is something to confirm with the breaker against your registration, as this can vary by build date and specification.
