Do not assume a fit just because both cars share the G-series platform.

Within the same generation and facelift period, the front bumper is shared across the G15 Coupe, G14 Convertible and G16 Gran Coupe body styles, so body style does not affect front bumper fitment. A pre-facelift bumper from any of these three variants should be interchangeable with another pre-facelift car, and likewise for post-facelift, but always confirm the exact part number with the breaker against your registration to be sure.

The 8 Series was offered in trim levels including M Sport and the higher M Sport Pro pack, and these do use different front bumper styling compared with any base specification cars, so trim level can matter for cosmetic fit on this model. If you fit a bumper from a different trim grade it may look noticeably different around the lower valance and air intake surrounds. Confirm the trim specification of the donor car with the breaker so you end up with a bumper that matches your own car's appearance.

The M8 is a full M division model with its own distinctive wide-body front bumper designed specifically for that car, and it is not the same as the M Sport bumper fitted to standard 8 Series models. Fitting an M8 bumper to a standard 8 Series is not a straightforward swap and you should discuss the specific panel references with your breaker before purchasing. Never assume fitment between M and non-M front-end panels even within the same generation.

Your 2019 8 Series is a pre-facelift G-series car, so you need a pre-facelift bumper from the 2018-2021 period. Headlight type - for example laser light versus standard LED variants - can affect how the bumper fits and how washer jets or sensors are accommodated, so confirm with the breaker whether the donor car's headlight specification matches yours.
