Second Hand Peugeot Boxer Indicator Stalk

The current Boxer generation (often called the X250 platform) launched in 2006 and has been facelifted but not replaced as a whole new generation in the UK market since then; a significant facelift arrived around 2014, refreshing the dashboard and some controls including the stalk assembly. Knowing whether your van is pre- or post-2014 facelift is the most important starting point when sourcing a used indicator stalk. Check your registration against the breaker to confirm exactly which revision your van carries.

These two vans sit either side of the 2014 facelift, which updated the steering column controls and stalk design, so they do not necessarily share the same stalk. The pre-2014 and post-2014 stalks are likely different parts, and fitting one across that boundary is something you should confirm with the breaker against your specific registration before buying. Never assume a pre-facelift stalk will plug straight into a post-facelift column.

Both vans fall within the post-2014 facelift period of the X250 generation, so the stalk is much more likely to be compatible, but connector pinouts and any additional stalk functions (e.g. lane-assist or automatic lighting controls on higher specs) can vary. Give the breaker both registrations and ask them to match the part numbers before you commit. This is the safest approach even within the same facelift window.

For the indicator stalk itself, trim level does not affect the core fitment in the way that, say, an engine choice would. However, higher-spec Boxer trim levels sometimes include additional stalk functions such as automatic headlights or rain-sensor wipers built into the stalk assembly, and a basic-trim stalk may be missing those functions or connectors even if it physically fits. Tell the breaker your trim level and what functions your original stalk had so they can supply a like-for-like unit.

The Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Relay, and Fiat Ducato share the same X250 platform and are built together, so stalks from the equivalent generation Relay in particular are widely regarded in the trade as interchangeable with the Boxer. That said, confirm the part number and connector type with the breaker against your registration, as small differences can exist between brands on the same platform. A good breaker will cross-reference both vans before sending the part.

The indicator stalk itself is generally not affected by the gearbox type on the Boxer, as it sits on the steering column rather than being linked to transmission controls. The key variables remain the facelift period and any built-in functions on the stalk, not the drivetrain. Confirm the stalk's connector and function spec with the breaker to be sure you get a like-for-like replacement.
