A used door handle that fits one vehicle won't always fit another - even within the same model range. These questions help breakers match stock to your exact vehicle before they quote:
The W906 (second generation, 2006–2018) and W907 (third generation, 2018–present) are distinct generations with different door structures, so a handle from one will not reliably fit the other. Always quote your generation to the breaker and confirm against your registration before ordering.
For the front cab doors (driver's and passenger's side), wheelbase makes no difference – the front door is the same across SWB, MWB, and LWB variants. However, if you need a handle for the sliding side cargo door, wheelbase can affect the door size and its furniture, so tell the breaker your wheelbase when enquiring about a sliding door handle.
NS (nearside) is the passenger's left side and OS (offside) is the driver's right side in UK convention, and it absolutely matters – a left-hand handle will not swap onto the right-hand aperture. Always specify NS or OS clearly when getting a quote from the breaker.
Rear door handles differ between single hinged tailgate and twin barn door configurations, so they are not interchangeable. Make sure you tell the breaker which rear door type your Sprinter has before agreeing a price.
Trim level does not affect the physical fitment of the door handle itself on the Sprinter – the door frame and handle aperture are the same across spec levels within the same generation. You may find cosmetic differences in finish or texture between parts pulled from different spec vans, but these do not affect whether the handle fits, and any finish can be resprayed or matched if needed.
A 2017 van is a W906 (second generation, 2006–2018) and a 2019 van is a W907 (third generation, 2018–present), so they sit either side of a generation change and the handles are not expected to interchange. Confirm this boundary with the breaker and quote both registrations to be sure.
