Only some GLA variants have a propshaft. The GLA is primarily a front-wheel-drive car, but the 4MATIC four-wheel-drive versions do have a propshaft connecting the front and rear axles. Any GLA badged as 4MATIC across both the first generation (X156, 2013–2019) and second generation (H247, 2020 onwards) will have a propshaft.
