Fitment on a used rear bumper varies by vehicle, so a bit of detail goes a long way. Our request form covers what breakers need to know, so every quote you get back is for the correct part:
The Fiat 500L runs as a single generation launched in 2012, with a facelift arriving in 2017 that brought styling updates including changes to the rear bumper design. This means a pre-facelift bumper (2012–2017) and a post-facelift bumper (2017 onwards) are not the same pressing and will not swap directly. Always quote your registration to the breaker so they can confirm exactly which bumper suits your car.
A 2015 car is pre-facelift and a 2018 car is post-facelift, so these sit either side of the 2017 styling update and the rear bumpers are different. You should not assume they interchange – confirm with the breaker using both registrations before purchasing.
Trim level does not affect rear bumper fitment on the 500L – the structural part is the same across Pop, Lounge, Urban and Trekking grades within the same facelift period. However, you may find cosmetic differences such as paint finish, integrated trim strips or diffuser styling between grades, so check the breaker's photos against your own bumper to avoid a visible mismatch.
The Trekking variant carries its own distinctive bumper styling with cladding and trim that differs visually from the standard 500L rear bumper, even though the underlying facelift boundary (pre-2017 vs post-2017) still applies. Confirm with the breaker that the part they have comes from a Trekking rather than a standard 500L if you want to maintain the correct appearance.
The 500L MPW (also known as the 500L Living) is a longer, seven-seat version of the standard 500L and its rear bumper is a different part altogether due to the extended body. You must not assume MPW and standard 500L rear bumpers interchange – confirm the exact body style with the breaker against your registration.
No – engine and gearbox have no bearing on rear bumper fitment for the 500L, so whether you have a petrol, diesel or automatic makes no difference to the part you need. What matters is the facelift period (pre or post 2017) and the body style (standard 500L versus the longer MPW), so focus on those details when speaking to a breaker.
