Used Vauxhall Mokka Propshaft

Only the four-wheel-drive (4WD) variants of the Mokka have a propshaft — it connects the front-mounted engine to the rear axle on those models. The vast majority of Mokkas sold in the UK were front-wheel-drive only, and those have no propshaft whatsoever. If you have a front-wheel-drive Mokka and something is vibrating or making a knocking noise, you are more likely looking for a driveshaft (also called a CV shaft or halfshaft) rather than a propshaft — worth confirming which drivetrain you have before searching further.

Check your V5C logbook, which will state the drivetrain, or look for an 'AWD' or '4x4' badge on the tailgate — UK-market 4WD Mokkas were badged accordingly. Engine size can influence drivetrain components, so it is worth telling the breaker whether your Mokka A 4WD is the 1.4 turbo, 1.6, or 1.8 petrol, or one of the diesel variants, as the propshaft specification may differ between them. Do not assume a propshaft from any 4WD Mokka A will automatically suit yours — always confirm against your registration with the breaker. This is particularly important for used parts, as a mismatch in torque rating could mean the part is not suitable for your engine's output.

Trim level does not determine which propshaft you need — what matters is whether your Mokka has the 4WD drivetrain and which engine it is fitted with. An SE 4WD and an Elite 4WD with the same engine should use the same propshaft, as trim differences relate to interior and cosmetic features rather than running gear. Just confirm the drivetrain and engine with the breaker against your registration, and ignore trim badges when assessing compatibility.

Because only a small proportion of UK Mokkas were sold in 4WD form, used propshafts are relatively rare and may not always be listed immediately — it is worth submitting a quote request so breakers can check their stock. Make sure your request clearly states that your vehicle is the 4WD variant, including your registration, so breakers do not quote front-wheel-drive parts in error.
