The Ford S-Max is a front-wheel-drive vehicle in its standard form, and front-wheel-drive cars do not have a propshaft — that component only exists on rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive layouts. However, Ford did offer an AWD (all-wheel-drive) version of the S-Max, particularly on higher-powered diesel variants, and those models do have a propshaft running to the rear axle. Trim level does not determine propshaft fitment — what matters is whether your car is AWD and which engine it has, not whether it is badged Zetec, Titanium, or ST-Line. Two AWD S-Max models with the same engine from the same generation should take the same propshaft regardless of trim. Bear in mind cosmetic differences between trim levels are irrelevant here since the propshaft is a purely mechanical drivetrain component hidden underneath the car.
