Fitment on a used side skirt varies by vehicle, so a bit of detail goes a long way. Our request form covers what breakers need to know, so every quote you get back is for the correct part:
Side skirts do exist on the S-Class, but they are not fitted to every variant as standard — they are typically found on AMG Line, AMG Sport, and full AMG models rather than the base or standard trims. On standard S-Class models the sill area is a relatively plain body panel, so if your car did not leave the factory with a side skirt you may actually be looking for a sill cover or lower door trim instead. Check your car's build spec or ask the breaker to confirm against your registration before ordering.
The W222 S-Class ran from 2013 to 2020, with a facelift introduced in 2017 that brought revised bumpers, lights and exterior trim — and the side skirts changed in profile and styling at that point too. Pre-facelift (2013–2017) and post-facelift (2017–2020) side skirts are not simply interchangeable, but whether a specific panel will physically swap across that boundary is something you need to confirm with the breaker against your registration, as fitment details can vary by trim and spec.
Side skirts run along the sill between the front and rear wheel arches, so the longer wheelbase of an L-suffix S-Class means its side skirts are physically longer than those on the standard-wheelbase version. You need to make sure the skirt length matches your wheelbase, so always tell the breaker whether your car is standard or long-wheelbase when requesting a quote.
Engine choice makes no difference to side skirt fitment on the S-Class — the bodywork is shared across petrol, diesel and hybrid variants within the same generation and facelift period. An S350 and an S500 of the same generation and spec will use the same side skirt, so there is no need to match the engine when sourcing a used part.
Trim level does matter here in practice, because the S-Class AMG Line and full AMG models have a more prominent, deeper side skirt that is not the same part as the simpler trim found on standard SE or Executive models. The skirts are not interchangeable between AMG and non-AMG specs even within the same generation, so confirm with the breaker that the part came from a car with the same trim specification as yours.
The 2015 car is a pre-facelift W222 and the 2019 car is a post-facelift W222 (the facelift arrived in 2017), so the side skirts are from different styling phases and are unlikely to be a straight swap. Confirm with the breaker against your registration whether the specific panel from the later car is compatible, as they will be able to cross-reference the part numbers and trim spec to advise you properly.
