Does the Volkswagen Amarok actually have a coil pack?
No — the Volkswagen Amarok was never fitted with a coil pack in any UK variant. The Amarok range has been exclusively diesel-powered (2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI engines) throughout both its first generation (2010–2020) and second generation (2023-onwards), and diesel engines do not use coil packs or spark-based ignition at all. If you are looking for an ignition-related part, you may be thinking of glow plugs, which are the diesel equivalent used to aid cold starting.
I searched for a coil pack for my Amarok — what part do I actually need?
If your Amarok has a cold-start or running issue that led you to search for a coil pack, the part you almost certainly need is a glow plug or glow plug control module, as these are the ignition-adjacent components on a diesel engine. Other possibilities depending on your symptoms could include injectors or an EGR valve — worth describing your fault to the breaker so they can point you to the right part. A coil pack simply does not exist on any Amarok engine.
Could a coil pack from any year of Amarok fit mine — say a 2015 onto a 2018?

My Amarok is showing an ignition fault code — surely it needs a coil pack?
Diesel engines, including all Amarok engines, do not have spark plugs or coil packs, so a coil-pack-related fault code would not apply to this vehicle. If you are seeing a fault code relating to ignition or misfires on a diesel Amarok, this more commonly points toward glow plugs, glow plug relay, fuel injectors, or compression issues.
