Used Fiat 500C Radio

The Fiat 500C is the cabriolet version of the standard Fiat 500 and shares the same dashboard architecture, so radios from a standard Fiat 500 of the same generation will generally be compatible with the 500C. The key thing to check is that the unit is from the same generation and uses the same connector and fascia size. Confirm the exact part number with your breaker against your registration to be sure.

The Fiat 500 and 500C range ran from 2007 with a significant facelift arriving in 2015, which brought updates to the infotainment system including a revised centre console and new head unit formats. A radio from a pre-2015 car may not plug straight into a post-2015 facelift car due to changes in connectors and trim surround dimensions. Name the boundary to your breaker and ask them to check compatibility against both registrations before buying.

Trim level itself does not determine fitment for the radio, but different trims — such as Pop, Lounge, and Rockstar — were often specified with different head units from the factory, for example a basic single-DIN unit on entry trims versus a larger touchscreen on higher-spec cars. The physical unit and its connectors need to match your existing setup, not the trim name. When sourcing from a breaker, compare the unit type you currently have rather than just matching trim names.

Trim does not block fitment as a rule, so a Lounge-spec radio can physically go into a Pop-spec 500C provided the connector, fascia size, and generation match. Bear in mind a higher-spec unit from a Lounge may look different to the original Pop interior and could require an adaptor plate if the aperture size differs. Confirm the connector and surround dimensions with your breaker against your registration before purchasing.

Beyond physical fitment, some factory Fiat radios require a code or pairing procedure after installation, which a good breaker should be able to advise on. Check whether the unit has Bluetooth, DAB, or navigation if those features matter to you, as these varied across the range and years. Always give your breaker your full registration so they can match the correct unit to your car.

It is possible in some cases, but the 2015 facelift brought changes to the infotainment setup that mean pre- and post-facelift units may not swap directly without adaptor looms or fascia modifications. Within the same generation — either pre-2015 or post-2015 — upgrades are more straightforward if the connector type and aperture match. Route this to your breaker with both registration numbers, as they will know which units they can supply with compatible connectors.
