Used Fiat 500 Boot Lid

The current Fiat 500 (often called the third-generation 500, launched in 2007) has been in continuous production through to the present day in the UK, making it a long-running single generation on the same platform. Because of this long run, mid-production pressing changes are possible, so while a boot lid from a 2010 car may well fit a 2016 car, you should always confirm the exact year of the donor part with the breaker against your own registration before buying.

Both years fall within the same 2007-onwards generation of the Fiat 500, which is a good starting point for compatibility. However, mid-generation pressing changes can occur across a production run this long, and Findapart cannot confirm whether the pressing changed between 2010 and 2015 as a matter of fact. Name both years to the breaker and ask them to check the part against your registration before you commit.

Trim level does not affect the fitment of a boot lid on the Fiat 500 — a boot lid from a Pop, Lounge, Sport, or any other trim will physically fit the same body. The one thing to be aware of is cosmetic differences: higher trims such as Lounge may have a rear badge, spoiler, or different finish that a Pop-spec lid lacks, so check what features the donor lid has before you buy.

The Fiat 500C is a soft-top cabriolet and has a fundamentally different rear-end structure to the standard hatchback 500, so the boot lids are not the same part. Always specify to the breaker whether your car is the standard hatchback or the 500C to make sure you are quoted the correct lid.

The Abarth 500 is built on the same body as the standard hatchback Fiat 500, so the boot lid is the same panel in terms of fitment. Bear in mind that an Abarth lid may carry a rear spoiler or different badging that a standard 500 lid does not, which is purely a cosmetic difference you should check before buying.

Colour codes are a useful guide but are not a guarantee of a perfect colour match on a used part, as paint fades differently over time and between cars. Tell the breaker your colour code and ask about the condition and age of the donor vehicle, and bear in mind that a professional blend or respray may still be needed for the best finish.
