The Mk2 Tiguan received a significant facelift around 2020–2021, and while both cars share the same generation platform, HVAC components can sometimes change across a facelift refresh. Parts from within the same pre- or post-facelift period are more likely to interchange, but crossing that facelift boundary is something you should confirm with the breaker against both registrations rather than assume. A good breaker will check the part numbers from each vehicle to give you a definitive answer.
