Used Vauxhall Adam Windscreen

The Vauxhall Adam was produced from 2013 to 2019 as a single generation with no major platform change, so the windscreen body aperture is broadly consistent across those years. However, later cars are more likely to be fitted with a heated windscreen or an ADAS camera bracket behind the glass, which means a screen from an early car may not suit a later one if those features are present. Always check whether your car has a heated windscreen or a camera bracket before buying a used screen.

Both fall within the same single-generation Adam (2013–2019), so the glass shape is the same, but this is exactly the kind of year-range crossing where equipment differences catch buyers out. Cars from 2017–2018 onwards are more likely to carry a heated windscreen element or an ADAS camera bracket than early 2013–2014 cars, and fitting a plain screen where one of those features is required will cause problems. Confirm with the breaker whether the donor screen matches your car's specification before purchasing.

Trim level — whether Jam, Slam, Glam, or any other — does not affect windscreen fitment on the Adam; the glass shape is identical across the range. What can vary is whether a heated windscreen or camera bracket is fitted, and those features do not follow trim lines in a predictable way, so you need to check the actual specification of both your car and the donor car. You may also find minor cosmetic differences such as tinting shade between screens pulled from different cars, but these do not affect whether the screen physically fits.

A heated windscreen on the Adam uses a fine wire element embedded in the glass, usually visible as very thin horizontal lines across the screen, and there will be a corresponding switch or button on the dashboard. It matters a great deal when buying used: fitting an unheated screen in place of a heated one means losing that function entirely, while fitting a heated screen where the car has no wiring for it is wasteful. Check your car's spec and tell the breaker so they can match the correct type.

If your Adam is fitted with a forward-facing camera for lane assist or other driver assistance features, the windscreen needs a compatible bracket or mount to hold the camera correctly — a plain screen without this bracket will not work. Whether a specific used screen's bracket is compatible with your car's exact ADAS system is something you should confirm with the breaker against your registration, as bracket designs can vary. Do not assume any screen with a bracket will suit your system without that check.
