Used BMW i4 Door Handle

The BMW i4 (G26) launched in 2022 and remains in current production as of 2025, with no major generation change yet announced for the UK market. Within that single generation, handles from the same side and door position should correspond, but always confirm the exact part against your registration with the breaker, as minor running changes can occur during a model's production life.

Both years sit within the same G26 generation, so a handle from the correct side and door position is generally expected to carry across. However, breakers should verify against your specific registration before supplying, as mid-cycle production updates can occasionally affect exterior trim fitment.

Trim level does not affect door handle fitment — the handle frame is the same across eDrive40 and M50 variants on the G26 i4. You may receive a handle in a different finish or colour, but that is a cosmetic difference rather than a fitment issue, and it can be resprayed or colour-matched if needed.

In UK convention, nearside (NS) is the passenger side (left as you sit in the car) and offside (OS) is the driver's side (right). Door handles are side-specific, so tell the breaker clearly which side and which door position — front or rear — you need to ensure the correct part is supplied.

The i4 shares its G26 body with the 4 Series Gran Coupe, and in many cases exterior door furniture does correspond between the two models. That said, you should confirm this directly with the breaker using both registrations, as subtle differences in attachment points or trim finishes can exist between the combustion and electric variants.

Colour is not a fitment consideration — a handle from a different colour car will fit correctly provided it is the right side, door position, and generation.
