Used wiper bladess vary between vehicles - and whether you call it used, second hand or a replacement, matching the right one matters. These are the details breakers need to match the right part to your car - our request form asks them so you only hear from suppliers with the correct part:
The BMW 6 Series ran across two main modern generations: the E63/E64 (2003–2010) and the F06/F12/F13 (2011–2018), and wiper blade arm fittings differ between these generations, so blades are not a straightforward swap across that boundary. Within each generation, blades should be consistent, but you should confirm the exact blade length and connector type with the breaker against your registration before buying.
Trim level — whether that's SE, Sport, M Sport, or M6 — does not affect wiper blade fitment on the 6 Series, as the windscreen and wiper arm design is the same across trims within a given generation. You may find that some higher-spec cars have flat-blade (beam) wipers as standard where lower trims had traditional framed blades, so it's worth checking what style your car takes before ordering.
The E63 coupe and E64 convertible share the same front windscreen wiper setup as they are part of the same generation (2003–2010), so front wiper blades generally interchange between the two body styles. The rear wiper situation is different — the E64 convertible does not have a rear wiper, so only front blades are relevant for that variant; confirm with the breaker that the part pulled is from a matching front application.
The F12 (convertible) and F13 (coupe) are part of the same 2011–2018 generation and share the same front wiper blade specification, so front blades from one will generally fit the other. Again, the F12 convertible does not have a rear wiper, so if you need a rear blade you should be looking at an F06 Gran Coupe or confirming with the breaker which variant the part came from.
There is some crossover in blade specifications between the 6 Series and contemporary 5 Series models because they share platforms — for example, the F10/F11 5 Series and F06/F12/F13 6 Series overlap in the same era — but blade lengths and connector types are not guaranteed to match. Rather than assuming compatibility, give the breaker your registration so they can confirm whether a 5 Series blade pulled from their stock matches your 6 Series fitment exactly.
The F-generation 6 Series received a facelift around 2015, but this did not result in a change to the wiper arm or blade specification, so pre- and post-facelift F12/F13/F06 cars use the same blades. For the E63/E64 generation, there was a mild update around 2007, and again the wiper setup remained consistent across that change; if you are buying used blades, just confirm with the breaker against your registration to be safe.
