Fitment on a used towbar varies by vehicle, so a bit of detail goes a long way. Our request form covers what breakers need to know, so every quote you get back is for the correct part:
The Mercedes-Benz EQE (produced from 2021 onwards) was not approved for towing by Mercedes-Benz and has no factory towbar option — this applies to all variants of the EQE saloon and SUV regardless of motor output or trim level. Unlike some other electric vehicles where an aftermarket towbar is at least type-approved, the EQE has no approved towing capacity, meaning no genuine used towbar from a dismantled EQE will exist, and fitting one would not be road-legal for towing. If you need a towing-capable Mercedes-Benz, you would need to look at a different model such as the GLE or GLS, or consider other tow-rated vehicles.
Some owners do fit non-towing towbars (also called 'bicycle carrier receivers') to the EQE purely to carry a rear-mounted bike rack, as this does not require a towing approval rating — however this is a specialist aftermarket fitting, not a used breaker's yard part, since no EQE was factory-built with a towbar. You would need to consult an aftermarket towbar specialist who can confirm whether a suitable receiver bracket exists for the EQE's specific rear bumper and subframe. A breaker is unlikely to be able to help you with this part, as none will be available on dismantled EQEs.
It is extremely unlikely to be a genuine factory-fitted used part from a dismantled EQE, as Mercedes-Benz never offered an approved towbar for this model. What is occasionally listed may be an aftermarket bracket or bike-carrier receiver, or a mislabelled part — always ask the seller to confirm the exact sourcing and whether it was physically removed from an EQE. If you are looking for a genuine used towbar from a breaker, this is not a part that will exist in the dismantled EQE supply chain.
The EQE SUV (X294 platform, from 2022) is a distinct vehicle from the EQE saloon (V295 platform) and the two share no body panels or rear structures, so they must be treated as completely separate models for parts purposes. The EQE SUV does have a Mercedes-approved towing capacity and a factory towbar option was offered for it, unlike the EQE saloon — so if you own an EQE SUV, a genuine used towbar from a dismantled EQE SUV may be findable through a breaker. Always confirm with the breaker using your registration to ensure the part matches your exact SUV variant, as differences may exist between all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive versions of the SUV.
For the EQE saloon, the motor variant (300, 350, 500 or AMG) makes no difference to towbar fitment because the rear structure and bumper are shared across the range — however, as noted, no factory towbar exists for the EQE saloon in any variant. If you are asking about the EQE SUV, motor output does not affect towbar fitment either, as the rear towing structure is the same across SUV variants, but confirm with the breaker against your registration in case of any mid-production changes to the mounting points.
